Cisco Systems announces that Cisco has been appointed a major network equipment provider for the upgrade and expansion project of the Intranet at the People's Bank of China. The project, one of the largest upgrade and expansion projects in the history of the bank, includes WAN and LAN construction to cover the banks headquarters and branches at all levels in over 140 cities. The network equipment involved is worth RMB60 million.
